From there, Tafuri trekked through the New York and London club scenes, honing her skills as a live performer, and coming into her own in the recording studio as a strong writer and collaborator. She earned the respect of industry tastemakers with "Change Is What We Need" for Todd Terry's House of Gypsies' album, and "Was That All It Was?," a collaboration with producer Victor Simonelli.

George Morel approached Tafuri to co-write and record the track "Unnecessary Changes" for Strictly Rhythm. "After that we wrote a song called "Running on Empty" for his NY Jam Session' album," she says. Tafuri and Morel collaborated again in 97 on the single "Losing Myself To You."

Tafuri's talent in the dance music arena sparked the interest of Jason Nevins. Tafuri and Nevins collaborated on a song entitled "What's Got You?" which was released on the Groovilicious label.

Tafuri's most current collaboration is with Eran Tabib, formerly of Spin Doctors. "I've taken my time with these songs and I believe that they reflect what I've experienced and what I've learned," she says. The songs they have created combine alternative R&B and dance. "What You Want" will be the first release from her debut album on Siahson Entertainment, Inc. "These songs give me the opportunity to express where I am right now."
